Who is TMB?

Hi there! We're thrilled you found our little corner of the dark romance indie community! Welcome! 

The Midnight Bookshelf is a dark romance book box based in Ontario, Canada, and is the passion of Jennifer and Rod, the co-founders of TMB.  As a husband and wife duo, we are both lucky and grateful to love what we do, together. A dream team of administrative and order fulfillment roles.

Founded in 2022, The Midnight Bookshelf began its inception at the kitchen table surrounded by notebooks of plans, mugs of lukewarm coffee, and a dream. Up until this point, Canadians did not have a local option for hand signed special edition books. We set out to change that, catering to the dark romance fans of Canada.

What started as a small following became so much more. We now ship to three additional major locations being the USA, Australia, and the UK. It's humbling to know that there are readers around the world enjoying the editions that we have produced. 

We have since expanded, creating our sister box, The Nightfall Archives, which creates paranormal/romantasy special editions. A variety of merch selections has also been added to our line up, with more bookish items in the works and to be launched soon.

TMB offers both monthly subscriptions and one-time purchase options of our monthly featured boxes. Starting in 2025 we have also added event exclusive editions to our line up. We will be attending a number of wonderfully run events and hope to meet you there!

It has been a great honor to have worked with so many amazingly talented indie authors to date. Our in-house design team is top-tier, and our rep team is truly family to us. We are beyond fortunate to have so many fabulous people in our circle. The best thing about circles? No one is stuck in a corner. Every one is appreciated and valued.
